The main objective of this course is to demonstrate the implementation of numerical modeling and geomechanics simulation in reservoir engineering. The course focuses on the practical applications of numerical modeling for simulation and analysis of geomechanics problems such as wellbore stability, geothermal analysis, flow analysis, and hydraulic fracturing.
Mr Moabelo is a recent graduate who has completed his BSc Honours degree in geology, He is currently enrolled for a MSc in Hydrogeology at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Itasca regularly performs evaluations and designs for long-hole, cut-and-fill, room-and-pillar, and longwall stopes excavated in rock ranging from limestone and granite to coal and trona.
